mcnuly’s is a little old tea shop in the west village.
they’ve been in business for years, and their branding
proved it! this new identity wanted the feel of a well
established shop, but with a face lift. the branding includes
tea bags, tea tins, and stationery set. this rebranding will
translate well on many different applications including apparel,
bags, mugs and much much more.

Glumac

when glumac came to me and asked for a direct mail
piece that would be memorable, yet get their message
across, a light bulb immediately went off in my head
(pun intended!). the company was trying to attract new
clients to hire their to firm update buildings (mainly
on college campuses) with new, energy effecient upgrades.
the concept of a ‘bright idea’ was effective both because
of the simple image of a compact floursecent lightbulb refl-
ecting energy savings, and the relation to the image of a
person who has a good idea being represented as a light bulb
above their head.

the challenge was to make the packaging look as authentic as
possible while still getting the information glumac needed
integrated into the packaging.

Parsons Fashion Woorkbook

in 2007, parsons put out a workbook of all the
outstanding designs from the graduating seniors
in the graphic design program. because the book
was such a success, the school decided to add an
interior design and fashion design book along with
the second edition graphic design. i was lucky
enough to be selected along with one other student
to work on the fashion studies/fashion marketing
woorkbook of ‘08. after much research, and endless
hours of design, the fashion design book was printed
and distributed to students, faculty, donors and more.
i’m very proud to have worked on this book and gained
invaluable knowledge about the wonderful world of
publication design.

Bumble & Bumble

with a parent company like bumble & bumble,
any brand extension would need to be recognizable
as bumble & bumble, yet have it’s own voice as
well. for bb organic, the goal was to create something
memorable as well as sustainable (in more than one
sense of the word). starting with a 3d logo of corrugated
cardboard and live greenery, the 2d version of the logo
was applied to the stationery set. for any advertisements,
the logo would be placed ‘organically’ into the image.

Quantum Air

quantum airlines is all about old travel. it takes
one back to a time when people would dress
up to fly and it was a privilege that not everyone
had the luxury to afford. this was a time before
the european union, a time when your passport
would be stamped with every country you entered
and those stamps were prized. the quantum
airlines travel brochures are meant to resemble old
passports; inside is a treasure trove of information
about the city you’re visiting including hot spots, maps
and even things to miss.

Modernist Malice

modernist malice is a publication about how
hollywood portrays evil in films as modern
design. it’s filled with pictures and text giving
examples of this very thing, right down to
darth vader on the cover.

Ingrid Michaelson

this is a special edition book for the us
concert tour of ingrid michaelson. The
tour is called ‘like glass’ so the cover of
the book is printed on acetate, giving a
reader the feeling of peering through
glass to see what’s inside. the hand drawn
quality and playful yet simple design is a
direct reflection of ingrid’s music and
lyrical style.

nrg events and weddings is a full service
event planning company. when the client
came to me, they wanted something clean
yet catchy, functional yet simple. this project
was very rewarding to work side by side with
the client, expanding on my web skills and
creating a beautiful site.

the punk pooch is a doggie day spa in
williamsburg, brooklyn. the design needed
to be playful and funky, yet modern and
approachable. with a few carefully chosen
colors and a fun logo, the design did just that.
